Terms of sale

The basis on which we quote, supply, deliver and warrant equipment. Read these alongside your quotation, which takes precedence where it is specific.

01These terms

These are the terms on which Coppermount Limited (company number 17535088, registered office 98 Chipperfield Road, Birmingham, B36 8BP) supplies equipment to business customers. They apply to every quotation, order and delivery unless we agree something different in writing.

The catalogue on this site is a guide to the range, not an offer. Prices, specifications and availability are confirmed in a written quotation, which is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise.

02Orders and acceptance

An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing and, where a deposit is required, that deposit has cleared. Please check the quotation carefully before ordering — model, finish, frame colour, quantity and delivery address.

03Prices and VAT

Prices shown on this site are indicative trade prices in pounds sterling, excluding VAT and excluding delivery, installation and commissioning unless stated. The price that applies to your order is the one on your accepted quotation.

04Payment

Payment terms are set out on the quotation and invoice. Where an order is placed on account, invoices are payable within the period stated. We may charge interest on late payment at the statutory rate, and may suspend further deliveries while an invoice remains unpaid.

Title to the goods passes to you when we have received payment in full. Risk passes on delivery.

05Delivery and installation

Delivery dates are given in good faith but are estimates. Where delivery or installation is included, the arrangement is described in our delivery and installation policy. You are responsible for making sure the site is ready: adequate access, a suitable floor and power supply, and someone authorised to accept the goods.

06Returns, cancellation and refunds

You may request a return within 28 days of delivery, in line with our refunds and returns policy, which sets out the conditions, who pays return carriage and how long a refund takes.

07Warranty

The warranty period, what it covers and the response you can expect are stated in the documentation supplied with the machine. Warranty cover assumes the equipment is installed, used and serviced as described in that documentation, and does not extend to consumable parts, accidental damage or misuse.

08Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for the goods concerned.

Where you buy as a business, the statutory rights that protect consumers do not apply to the same extent; nothing in these terms affects any right you do have that cannot be excluded.

09Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
