What we do with the information you give us when you enquire about equipment, place an order or simply browse this site.

01Who we are

Coppermount Limited is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in the course of supplying indoor exercise equipment. Our registered office is 98 Chipperfield Road, Birmingham, England, B36 8BP, company number 17535088.

Questions about this policy, or a request to exercise any of the rights set out below, can be sent to info@coppermountfitness.co.uk or by telephone on 07506 646407.

02What we collect

We only collect what we need to answer an enquiry and supply goods:

  • The details you type into the enquiry form — your name, organisation, email address, telephone number, the machine or category you are interested in, and your message.
  • Correspondence you send us afterwards by email, telephone or in writing.
  • Order and delivery details for customers, including the delivery address and the name of the person receiving the goods.
  • Basic technical information recorded by our hosting provider for security and reliability, such as the pages requested and the time of the request.

03How and why we use it

Enquiry details are used to reply to you, prepare a quotation and keep a record of what was discussed. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you have chosen to make, and, once you order, the performance of our contract with you.

Order, delivery and invoice records are kept because we must by law keep accounting records. We may use your contact details to tell you about a recall, a safety notice or a servicing matter affecting equipment you have bought from us.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your details for automated decision-making or profiling.

04Who we share it with

We share personal data only where it is necessary to run the business: with our website and email hosting providers, haulage and installation contractors delivering to a site you have given us, and our accountants and professional advisers. Each is only given the information needed for that task.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, for example to HMRC or in response to a valid request from a regulator or court.

05Where it is held

Our website and email are hosted on cloud services that may store data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or by providers operating under the UK GDPR with appropriate safeguards in place.

06How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept for up to two years so that we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Order, delivery and invoice records are kept for six years after the end of the financial year to which they relate, as required for tax purposes. Warranty and servicing records are kept for the life of the warranty.

07Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to be told what we hold about you, to ask for a copy, to have anything inaccurate corrected, to have data erased where we no longer need it, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive data you gave us in a portable format. You can exercise any of these by contacting us at the address above; we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather hear from you first, so please contact us and we will try to put it right.

08Cookies and changes

How this site uses cookies and browser storage is explained in our cookie policy. We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
